Amentum is seeking an experienced Helper I - help in Electrical HV + IDIQ at our location in Springfield, VA. The Helper I assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill such as: keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools, cleaning working area, machine, and equipment; assisting journeyman by holding materials or tools; and performing other unskilled tasks as directed by journeyman. Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance The kind of work the helper is permitted to perform varies from trade to trade. In some trades the helper is confined to supplying, lifting, and holding materials and tools, and cleaning working areas and in others, the worker is permitted to perform specialized machine operations, or parts of a trade that are also performed by workers on a full-time basis. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.Experience and Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance. Zero years of general maintenance experience required. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred. Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
