About Us

We are currently engaged in various initiatives to align the systems and practices of Whitireia and WelTec. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the wider team to drive, influence, and embed health and safety into our organisation.

Your Role

You will be responsible for working with multiple aspects of health and safety in a complex environment. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in Health, Safety, and Sustainability who is customer-focused and has a collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities

Work across all campuses, talking with various stakeholders
Develop and implement health and safety initiatives
Collaborate with the wider team to drive health and safety excellence
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A relevant Health & Safety qualification or a willingness to work towards one
Experience in a Health and Safety Advisor or Coordinator role
A strong track record of persuading, coaching, and influencing
The ability to work independently and as part of a team on key projects
Strong organisational and prioritising skills
