Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Head of Finance & Accounts, based in Ahmedabad. The Head of Finance & Accounts will oversee full-cycle of accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting (balance sheets, P&L, MIS). Lead finance team, analyze KPIs for profitability, and mitigate risks like delayed receivables. be responsible for managing financial reporting, developing and monitoring budgets, and analyzing financial data for strategic decision-making.
Roles & responsibilities
• Oversee full-cycle accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, including MIS reporting and P&L analysis for agency profitability.
• Ensure GST/TDS compliance, statutory audits, vendor payments, and client fund handling while mitigating financial risks like delayed receivables.
• Lead and develop the finance team, allocating budgets for HR/ops and providing strategic advice to co-founders on investments and expansions.
• Analyze campaign ROI, media spends, and KPIs to support new business pitches, client meetings, and cost optimization.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, conduct internal/external audits, and liaise with banks, stakeholders, and regulators.
• Forecast revenue from clients/vendors, monitor working capital, and drive efficiency in dynamic service environments
Qualifications
• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Experience in the service industry with 50 crs. to 100crs. of turnover
• Expertise in Finance and Budgeting, with the ability to develop and manage comprehensive financial plans
• Excellent Analytical Skills to analyze complex data and provide strategic recommendations
• Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards
• Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in financial software, Tally ERP & MS-Office
• Previous experience in a leadership role in finance or accounting is an advantage
