Job Description
FULL-TIME, ON-SITE POSITION IN AHMEDABAD, GUJARAT
Requirements:
· Expertise and strong hands-on proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (mandatory)
· 1 to 2 years of professional experience working with Adobe Illustrator for print-based design
· Prior experience in the education industry (schools, curriculum publishers, EdTech, publishing houses) is strongly preferred
· Ability to design and format Mathematical symbols, equations, methods, worksheets, diagrams, tables, and layouts accurately
· Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign is a plus
· Familiarity with educational print formats such as textbooks, workbooks, worksheets, assessments, and activity books
· Understanding of layout requirements for school-level academic content across core subjects
· Acute attention to detail, especially with alignment, spacing, consistency, and print accuracy
· Knowledge or experience of working with printing or publishing houses is an advantage
· Awareness of age-appropriate visual design for children and school learners
· Digital drawing and illustration skills are a plus
· Strong work ethic and ability to adhere to timelines, guidelines, and quality standards
· Willingness to relocate to Ahmedabad, Gujarat
· Basic coordination and communication skills for working with academic, design, and production teams
Responsibilities:
· Designing and creating print-ready educational materials including textbooks, workbooks, worksheets, and practice books
· Accurately designing Mathematics-heavy content, including symbols, stepwise methods, problem layouts, and visual explanations
· Understanding and implementing layout requirements specific to educational and curriculum-based content
· Collaborating closely with academic teams, SMEs, and content developers to ensure visual clarity and academic accuracy
· Ensuring all designs adhere to prescribed design guidelines, brand standards, and print specifications
· Producing high-quality outputs with consistent formatting, clean layouts, and error-free visuals
· Thinking creatively while maintaining academic rigour and learner-friendly presentation
· Planning work schedules in advance in coordination with team members and reporting leads
· Incorporating feedback efficiently and maintaining version control of design files
· Being mindful of learner engagement, especially what appeals visually to school-age children
· Supporting revisions, updates, and new design requirements across subjects as needed
