Job Description – General Manager - Material Planning and Scheduling (Supply Chain)

About the Role
Euler Motors is seeking an experienced and highly skilled General Manager of Material Planning
and Scheduling to lead our supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible
for overseeing material planning, inventory management, and production scheduling to ensure
optimal utilization of resources and timely delivery of products. This role is critical for enabling our
manufacturing efficiency and supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles to our
customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Strategic Planning:
• Develop and implement material planning strategies aligned with overall business
objectives.
• Lead the material planning and scheduling team, ensuring effective coordination with
procurement, production, and logistics.
2.Demand Forecasting and Inventory Management:
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to accurately forecast demand.
• Optimize inventory levels to ensure materials are available for production while minimizing
excess stock.
• Implement just-in-time (JIT) inventory practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
3. Production Scheduling:
• Oversee the creation and management of production schedules to ensure timely
manufacturing of vehicles.
• Coordinate with production teams to address any scheduling conflicts or delays.
• Continuously improve scheduling processes to enhance flexibility and responsiveness.
4. Supplier Management:
• Work closely with procurement teams to ensure reliable and cost-effective sourcing of
materials.
• Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to secure timely delivery of critical
components
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
5. Process Improvement:
• Identify and implement process improvements in material planning and scheduling to
enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Leverage data analytics and advanced planning systems to optimize operations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma
projects.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Act as a liaison between various departments, including engineering, production,
procurement, and finance.
• Ensure alignment between material planning, production goals, and financial targets.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to address challenges and drive organizational
success.
7. Risk Management:
• Develop risk mitigation strategies for potential disruptions in the supply chain.
• Ensure contingency plans are in place for critical materials and components.
• Monitor global supply chain trends and adjust planning accordingly.
8. Team Leadership and Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing material planning and scheduling team
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

• Provide regular reports to senior management on material planning performance,
production schedules, and inventory levels.
• Use data analytics to drive decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business
Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in material planning, production scheduling, or supply chain
management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive or EV
industry.
• Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and driving
operational improvements.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, production scheduling
techniques, and inventory control methods.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced planning tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
across departments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement
methodologies is a plus.
