Job Description

Ready to take your mechanical expertise off the tools and into a dynamic, office-based role?

We’re on the lookout for a Maintenance Controller to join our Fleet Operations team. Whether you’re an experienced Maintenance Controller or a qualified mechanic looking for your next move, this is your chance to use your technical know-how in a new way.

Location: North Sydney OR Melbourne

In this phone-based role, you’ll be the go-to expert managing maintenance and repair outcomes for a national fleet. You’ll work closely with workshops, suppliers and internal teams to keep vehicles safe, compliant and on the road—balancing quality, cost and turnaround times.

If you’ve spent years in a workshop and are ready for a change of pace (without leaving your trade knowledge behind), this could be the perfect next step.

About us:

FleetPartners is an ASX listed established leader in vehicle fleet leasing, fleet management and diversified financial services across Australia and New Zealand and offers consumers, businesses, and governments access to solutions including fleet leasing, fleet management services, and novated leasing.

What you’ll be doing:

Assessing and approving repairs to ensure vehicles are back on the road quickly and cost-effectively
Diagnosing issues in collaboration with repairers and suppliers
Acting as a technical SME for commercial vehicles
Building strong relationships with suppliers, workshops and internal stakeholders
Managing work authorities and ensuring accurate maintenance coding
Supporting cost control and service outcomes across the fleet
Abut you:

Trade qualification in Motor Mechanics (or similar)
Hands-on workshop experience or experience in a Maintenance Controller role
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical knowledge
Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders
Intermediate computer skills
Experience with medium to heavy commercial vehicles (highly regarded)
The Perks:

27 days of annual leave per year.
A ‘Dress for your Day’ policy.
Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
Rewards programme, including a range of discounts from a variety of retailers.
An extensive range of other employee benefits.
16 weeks paid parental leave for primary careers, regardless of gender and with no minimum tenure and 4 weeks paid leave for secondary carers.

This is your chance to move off the workshop floor and into an office role while keeping your mechanical expertise front and centre. Apply now and grow your career with us!

Offer of employment with FleetPartners Group is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background check, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
