Hire An Accountant is a fast-growing, cloud-based accounting firm based in Perth, WA, offering tailored financial and advisory services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across diverse industries. Our boutique practice is known for providing expert taxation advice, financial modelling, virtual CFO services, and strategic business guidance.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Manager (ANZSCO 132211) to lead our financial operations and strategic advisory functions. This is a full-time, permanent position located at our office in Manning, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead internal financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.

· Prepare and present financial reports in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).

· Oversee taxation compliance, including BAS, GST, PAYG, and income tax.

· Manage cash flow and treasury functions.

· Design and implement internal control frameworks.

· Supervise junior finance personnel including accounts and payroll staff.

· Provide strategic advice to SME clients on tax structuring, cash flow optimisation, and pricing.

· Support the firm’s virtual CFO services, including client financial modelling and advisory.

· Liaise with the ATO, ASIC, auditors, and financial system vendors.

· Drive the implementation and optimisation of platforms such as Xero, MYOB, and APS.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

· Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in financial management.

· Strong working knowledge of AASB, Australian tax law, and cloud-based financial systems.

· Demonstrated ability to manage internal finance and provide external client advisory.

· Experience supervising finance teams and handling multi-client portfolios.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable:

· Previous experience in an Australian accounting or advisory firm.

· Familiarity with SME operations across sectors such as hospitality, construction, and retail.

Salary and Conditions:

· Annual Salary: $80,000 + Superannuation

· Hours: Monday to Friday, Between 8:30 am to 05:00pm (38 hours/week)
