FFE Interior Designer

Brief description of the role:

We are looking for a FF&E Designer to join our team in Delhi , India. Our office is located at South Delhi.

Less experienced candidates are welcome to also apply and you will be considered for FF&E Designer positions.

Under the direction of the Principal and/or Senior Associate, Project Director, and a Senior Project Designer, the Senior FF&E Designer will lead the initial design conception, technical development and execution of assigned project phases and assembly and maintenance of related documents. The Senior FF&E Designer is expected to perform at a level appropriate to their training and/or experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare design presentations and communicate with clients, and ensure that format is compatible with office and client standards/requirements.
Develop and execute the design direction for overall project and communicate to the project team.
Coordinate with Project Director, Senior Project Designer, and other FF&E Designers on a regular basis and develop and maintain communication with all project team members regarding project status.
Attend site meetings and assist in the process of reviewing the project along with the project manager.
Ensure quality service delivery while monitoring status of assigned project tasks against the project schedule and participate on quality reviews of projects.
Develop and review detailed construction documents including floor plans, elevations and sections, electrical details, schedules (finish, plumbing, door, fixture), furniture floor plans, FF&E specifications, materials and finishes to determine compliance in areas of quality, code and design.
Develop and review furniture installation plans and shop drawings for content and accuracy and ensure that they are fully coordinated with all pertinent consultant drawings.
Generate FF&E design based on established project criteria, program and budget.
Develop FF&E and architectural finish specifications for documentation, review and approve FF&E purchase orders, coordinate final placement of FF&E installation with all parties involved and maintain FF&E budget for all phases of the project interiors.
Coordinate all architectural finishes with Project Architect if applicable and review plans and details to ensure proper coordination of finishes and item numbers along with the project manager.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of FF&E specification minimum standards, informational requirements for specification and computer specification program requirements.
Provide direction related to furniture and equipment inventories to purchasing expeditor.
Serve as contact for purchasing agent and FF&E vendors while working with them to select design elements that are to be specified and establish all required information for documentation.
Review samples, strike-offs, etc. for compliance with specifications and overall design intent.

Below are the minimum qualifications that we expect from you:
Bachelor of Science in Interior Design
Currently based in the Philippines and has the right to work in the Philippines.
8 years or more of experience with a portfolio of previous project experience in luxury hospitality, high-end residential, or show flats. (Candidates with less experience will be considered for the FF&E Designer positions).
Proficient in Photoshop, PowerPoint, InDesign, AutoCAD, SketchUp and other MS Office applications.
