Event Cleaner - Royal Adelaide Show

About the Role

We are currently seeking motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Event Cleaners to join our team for the Royal Adelaide Show 2026. You must have flexibility to work day or afternoon shifts with various times across 9 days of the Show; Saturday 30th August – Sunday 7th September. We will be working 24 hours per day at The Show, with most times set as mornings (5am-11am), daytime (9am-3pm), afternoon (12pm-6pm), evenings (6pm-12am) or overnights (10pm-4am).

There will also be several opportunities for long term employment across both our Events & Commercial divisions for the right candidates Post Show. If you are a go-getter, that is not afraid to work hard and get your hands dirty, this is a fantastic fit for you!


Rates

Normal - 6:00am - 6:00pm - $31.21 an hour + superannuation
Afternoon - 6:00pm - 6:00am - $34.96 an hour + superannuation
Saturday - $43.70 an hour + superannuation
Sunday - $56.18 an hour + superannuation

Duties & Responsibilities

Picking rubbish from the grounds
Cleaning of toilet facilities (internal and portable)
Wiping tables
Emptying & moving bins
Vacuuming and mopping floors
Window cleaning
Any additional tasks requested by supervisor

Mandatory requirements:

Previous experience in a hands-on labouring or cleaning position
A current (within the past 12 months) National Police Clearance, or be able to obtain one
A current Working With Children Check for South Australia, or be able to obtain one
Availability to work across all 9 days of the Show
Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
You are a go-getter with an enthusiastic attitude
Physical strength due to labour intensity of the role
Excellent communication skills
High standard of work, cleanliness and attention to detail
Working with Children Check

Physical strength and stamina due to the high labour-intensive nature of the role

Have a smartphone to clock in and out of shifts

Availability across all days worked at the Royal Adelaide Show
