Role: Casual – as and when required
Location: Whangarei
Hourly Rate: $24.28 per hour
Hours: As required
Days: As required
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:
Typing, notetaking, and helping them engage with learning materials and online tasks
Coaching them to break down assignments and understand academic requirements
Strengthening their skills in independent planning and time management
Encouraging meaningful connections with Kaiako (teachers), peers, Tauira Services, and the wider learning environment
Mōu | About you
We are looking for someone who has the following:
A tertiary qualification, preferably with a qualification above the level of tauira you are supporting
A relevant Teacher Aide Certificate, desirable
Previous Teaching Aide experience preferred
Experience in a pastoral role, coaching, mentoring, support, or teaching advantageous but not essential
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
