Director, Regulation

The Early Childhood Regulatory Authority, part of the Department of Education, is seeking an experienced regulator to lead as Director, Regulation. This role requires strong leadership, administrative decision-making skills, and a passion for innovation.

About the Role
Developing, implementing, and evaluating frameworks, systems, tools, and processes for consistent, fair, efficient, and effective regulatory practice.
Implementing effective processes for work planning, resource allocation, and prioritization of regulatory effort based on intelligence- and data-led risk assessment.
Providing oversight, guidance, and support for high-quality regulatory decision-making and leadership for high-risk and complex matters.

Responsibilities
This position involves leading a team in delivering best-practice risk-based regulation, ensuring high-quality decision-making, and driving continuous quality improvement. As Director, Regulation, you will also provide expert independent analysis and advice to the Minister and senior officers.

To be successful in this role, you must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
