Diesel Shop Helper

Job description

The Diesel Shop Helper is responsible for assisting technicians with minor repairs. They will assist with shop housekeeping to ensure the shop remains clean and orderly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform minor repairs within the designated flat rates. Maintain a +5% or greater efficiency rating
• Assist Maintenance Manager and clerical staff in completing necessary paperwork
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment as requested by written schedules
• Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and taking out trash to keep equipment and facilities sanitary.
• Develop required skills to be a qualified, certified state inspector

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be able to lift up to 75lbs and carry a distance of 5 feet.
• Valid Drivers License or the ability to obtain one
• High School diploma or equivalent plus special technical training is desired
