To complete our Team: Dental Assistant (experienced in surgical preferred) who is knowledgeable, passionate, self-motivated, reliable and dependable. Located in Peoria/Sun City, our private practice specializes in Oral Surgery/Implants, Cosmetic and General Dentistry with a full two day Hygiene schedule. Equipment/Softwares: OpenDental, Dexis, lasers, CBCTX, Einstein Printer, Medit and Trios scanners.

Dental Assistant Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain patient relationships for dental care
Chairside assisting (through 4-handed dentistry)
Knowledge and Experience taking all Digital X-Rays
Set-up instruments, equipment and materials needed
Sterilize instruments according to OSHA regulations
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-operative care instructions
Maintain the sterile/lab area and keep well-stocked (inventory orders)
Dental Assistant Skills:

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - Surgical experience is preferred
Knowledge of dental instruments, their uses and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations through OSHA
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing
Computer skills (OpenDental + Dentrix)
Attention to detail, attentiveness to organization
Excellent communication skills with patients/team members
Dental Assistant Qualifications:

Prior dental assistant experience highly preferred (2 years minimum)
X-Ray Certification
Highschool Diploma; graduation from dental assisting school is preferred (RDA)
Additional certification or training is an additional asset
