We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Database Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering database servers and ensuring the reliability and performance of our financial banking capabilities.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in administering database servers and supporting the development of foundational financial banking capabilities. Your responsibilities will include:
• Administering database servers in accordance with standard database architecture, configuration, and performance guidelines.
• Mitigating risks in alignment with business requirements while adhering to the standards set by senior DBA professionals.
• Designing, developing, and supporting cloud-native, enterprise-scalable, and reusable/sharable foundational financial banking capabilities.
• Ensuring the quality, performance, scalability, and reliability of shared foundational platform services.
• Collaborating closely with solution architects, application managers, development leads, and principal engineers to facilitate the adoption of shared platform services.
• Demonstrating expertise with open-source databases such as MySQL, DynamoDB, and AWS RDS.
• Excelling in database design, data modeling in RDBMS, as well as NoSQL paradigms, and database development (stored procedures, triggers).
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration and desiging.
• Strong command on technologies like, Hadoop, Scala, Python, Spark.
• Proficiency in database design, data architecture, data migrations, and performance tuning.
• Experience in MongoDB development, including DB performance tuning, Mongo query language, and JavaScript scripting using MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Ops manager and query profiling in MongoDB.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, shell scripting, Perl, and Python batch job development.
Good to have experience in Streams processing using Kafka, KStreams, KSQL, Spark Streaming, data ingestion to Hadoop/HDFS, data transformation, aggregation, and analytics using Hive, Oozie, and Solr.
