Aventure Staffing has an opportunity in the Sioux City area to join an amazing team in the finance department. As a Controller, you will oversee financial and accounting aspects for multiple companies and business units, as well as leading the account department.
Responsibilities
• Perform month-end bank reconciliations
• Perform monthly and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and run various financial reports as required
• Provide financial forecasts
• Monitor and confirm financial information by conducting audits
• Ensure corporate income tax compliance and the timely completion of all corporate financial statements.
• Assist with processing payroll
• Process payroll tax reports and sales tax reports
• Oversee the activities of the accounting department
• Ability to manage multiple accounts
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
• CPA not required, but a plus
• Previous experience with Cost Accounting
• Proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Suite
• Must have the ability to problem solve and work autonomously
