The Post is a media initiative in collaboration with the Government of South Australia and Solstice Media. This project is designed to inform and engage young South Australians on the policies that shape the issues impacting their lives. Through a combination of digital content, social media, and print, The Post seeks to unpack complex topics in an accessible and impactful way.
Solstice Media is seeking an experienced Content Lead to oversee all content output for The Post. This role is pivotal in managing the daily content production across the website, social media platforms, and quarterly print publications. You will be responsible for planning, commissioning, and engaging content that resonates with our target audience.
In this position you will:
Oversee and manage the output of content across The Post’s website, social media platforms, EDMs, and print.
Commission and edit stories and other content assets, with occasional writing duties.
Source, brief, and manage contractors/freelance journalists.
Ensure the content plan is up-to-date and that deadlines are met for all platforms.
Manage and guide the creation of engaging social media content.
Explore and facilitate content adaptation.
Work closely with the Program Manager to meet KPIs.
Conduct strategic analysis of content performance and provide recommendations.
The Content Coordinator will report to this position
This position will report to the Program Manager.
KPIs:
Build and maintain an effective content structure in line with the Government of South Australia contract producing articles, long-form educational, short-form videos, dedicated EDMs and social media posts.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in content management and digital media, preferably within a government or public policy context.
Strong editorial skills, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to adapt content for various platforms.
Experience managing and mentoring junior team members.
A solid understanding of government communication and the operations of government.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
