Construction Surveyor

Apex Geomatics is seeking multiple experienced Construction Surveyors to join our Saskatchewan operations on long-term major industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

Manage and perform various field survey tasks independently or with the aid of a Survey Assistant.
Inspect, operate and maintain survey equipment and vehicles.
Prepare daily field notes, sketches and reports according to job specifications and operational procedures.
Effective communication and flow of information from field to office.
Ensure full compliance and active participation in Apex Geomatics’ Health and Safety Program.
Adherence with quality assurance procedures and quality control practices.
Provide mentorship and training to Junior Surveyors and Survey Assistants.
Liaise with client representatives to coordinate survey tasks, priorities and deliverables.
As a representative of Apex Geomatics, you are to conduct yourself with a professional, cordial attitude with clients.

Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma in Geomatics Technology or equivalent amount of related experience.
3+ years' experience as a Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry.
Must be proficient with the use of Trimble Robotic Total Stations and related software to perform high-precision surveys.
Technical competence and a strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate with team members.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
CSTS 2020 certification is required.
This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to pre-access drug and alcohol screening.
