Construction Director – Transmission Projects
Location: Sydney | Full-Time | $370,000 - $420,000 + Super | Relocation Package Available
We are seeking an experienced Construction Director to lead major transmission projects in Sydney. About the Role:
As the Construction Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering major transmission line projects from planning through to successful completion. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with the highest standards. Your expertise in managing large, complex projects will be crucial to delivering timely results while navigating the unique challenges of transmission infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and strategic direction to construction teams, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of large-scale transmission line projects.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement effective project management strategies to optimize resource use and drive efficiency.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Construction Director, or in a similar senior role, within the energy, infrastructure, or resources sectors.
Experience in managing major, complex projects, ideally long linear civil projects (e.g., transmission lines, pipelines, or similar).
Strong understanding of project planning, contract management, and execution in a construction environment.
Expertise in managing large teams and overseeing multidisciplinary operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
International experience on transmission line projects is highly regarded, and we are open to candidates from around the world.
