Construction Accounting Manager

Job description
Scottsdale, Arizona based General Contractor is looking to add a Construction Accountant. As a construction accountant you would manage the financial health of construction projects and the company. This position will offer the potential for future personal growth and leadership opportunities. Our company is a rapidly growing residential developer and general contracting company looking for a self-driven talented construction accountant who aspires for advancement to perform the following:

· Financial management

Tracking project expenses, ensuring money is used wisely, and monitoring the budget to identify potential cost overruns

· Maintain and track all costs related to construction projects.

Review contractors' bills for accuracy and completeness and approve payment requests.

Process invoices, requisitions, and purchase orders.

· Cost management

Helping project managers make decisions that keep the project's finances on track

· Accounting Reporting

Preparing monthly reports for accounts payable and receivable, and assembling subcontractor and vendor invoices

· Industry practices

Helping firms manage industry practices such as retainage, specialized billing, and revenue recognition methods

· Audits and tax returns

Preparing tax returns and conducting audits to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

· Collaboration

Working with project managers to develop financial plans and provide financial insights

Work with 3rd party financial accounting and tax team
• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• On-the-job training to learn Procore, construction software
• 5+ years of previous experience in a similar accounting role
• Experience with QBO

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
