Full job description
Mon Pitou is hiring a part-time Barista/Server to join our team. This position ranges between 20-25 hours per week with mandatory weekend and flexible weekday availability.

Shifts are typically 5 hours, with the possibility of extension.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Closing the store (8 PM), and opening the store (6:45 AM)
- Complete coffee orders throughout the day using a state-of-the-art espresso machine.
- Perform table service for dine-in guests during brunch hours
- Work independently and oversee the entire storefront.
- Sell our retail products, including on Uber and DoorDash.
- Package and store away retail meals.
- Organize and consolidate pastries sold throughout the afternoon.
- Build rapport with new customers and returning customers
- Liaise with other peers to help where needed.
- Proper cleaning and shut-down of coffee machine.
- Stocking/restocking of all in-store products and goods
- Organize, wash and maintain dishware.
- General housekeeping and maintenance.
- Professionally and knowledgeably represent the company.
- Prevent and minimize waste.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

must have a consistent commitment & availability

- Must have Saturday and Sunday availability, and will be scheduled based on business needs. Candidates who have limited availability will not be considered.
- Able to finish by 8 pm, or start at 6:45 am.
- 2 years of experience as a barista in a busy fast-paced establishment is required.
- 6 months of serving is an asset
- Lightspeed POS experience is a strong asset.
- Ability to multitask, and think critically
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Collaborative, honest and dependable
- Fluent in English
- FoodSafe is a bonus
