Spectrum Care provides support for children, young people and adults with disabilities, and their whanau. Our vision: 'Every person with a disability deserves a life of choice, freedom and independence'.

We’re currently seeking an experienced Coordinator for our Advisory Team. This is a shared position which includes coordinating the Advisory Team and facilitating surveys with the people we support.

The Advisory Team is a group of people with lived experience of disability with a wide range of skills and verbal processing speeds. They promote self-advocacy and champion the rights of people supported by Spectrum Care.

The Advisory Coordinator’s role is to support team members to facilitate and document the responses to a quality-of-life survey each week. The survey is delivered to people supported by Spectrum Care across the North Island, with the majority in the wider Auckland region. The Coordinator will provide feedback to the organisation via reports. This is a crucial role which will influence service delivery, design, and implementation, so the ideal candidate will be:

· Passionate about inclusivity and teamwork

· Comfortable customising delivery method to suit the strengths of each person

· Confident in facilitating surveys or interviews & reporting and assessing data

Ideally, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills:

Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Strong organisation and attention to detail
Ability to build relationships
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and understand how to prioritise tasks
A full NZ Drivers licence is essential for this role

The role is .5FTE (20 hours) per week. We understand the importance of work-life balance and strive to accommodate your needs, offering the flexibility of setting the permanent hours in a way that suits the ideal candidate best within the Mon-Fri +am-5pm work week. Spectrum Care is based in Central Auckland, Greenlane, which is close to transport links.

With a strong focus on self-determination and relationship-building, this team helps to shape the supports provided by Spectrum Care to progress to a more person-directed future for the people we support. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring the engagement of this well-rounded team, ultimately supporting their effectiveness and success.
