About the Role
In this role, you will be the welcoming face of the Mangawhai Health Hub, greeting and checking in patients and their whānau while ensuring every interaction is respectful, caring, and professional. Youll manage phone enquiries, coordinate bookings using the MyWai system, and support clinicians by keeping schedules running smoothly. Alongside reception duties, youll keep the clinic well-organised, monitor supplies, and handle a variety of administrative tasks that keep services operating efficiently. Throughout the day, youll work closely with clinical teams and community providers, maintaining confidentiality and delivering a high standard of customer-focused care.

About the Team/Service/Location
The team is made up of different staff across Community Services including nurses and allied health professionals with leadership provided by the Clinical Nurse Manager of District Nursing. As the Receptionist/Administrator, you sit at the heart of the service, working closely with team members, as well as liaising with wider Health NZ teams and external providers to support seamless, coordinated care.

About you
Proven customer service experience, with the ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with a wide range of people
Strong administrative skills, including managing enquiries, scheduling, and maintaining organised systems
Able to handle confidential information with care and discretion
Confidence using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also managing tasks independently
Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
