The Role

As the Medical Receptionist for Vitahealth Clinic, you'll be the face of our practice—providing efficient, supportive, and empathetic service to patients and clinicians alike. You'll manage the day-to-day administration and ensure each telehealth experience is smooth and positive. Key Responsibilities

Reception Duties: Welcome patients by phone, email, and video, offering a professional and caring first impression.
Appointment Management: Answer calls, schedule appointments, and manage our online booking system efficiently.
Administrative Support: Process patient information, maintain accurate electronic medical records, and handle clinic correspondence.
Billing and Payments: Administer private health billing and payments, ensuring compliance with healthcare industry standards.
Team Support: Provide administrative assistance to our healthcare providers and contribute to a positive remote team culture.
Compliance: Uphold Medicare, MBS, and other relevant healthcare regulations.
Clinic Operations: Support digital workflows, telehealth platforms, and promptly address patient inquiries.
About You

Prior experience in a receptionist or healthcare administrative role is preferred, especially within a medical setting.

Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask while working remotely.

Comfortable with medical practice management software, telehealth tools (Microsoft Teams, online scheduling), or willing to learn.

Knowledgeable in general healthcare administration.

Excellent communication skills for support of patients and collaboration with a distributed team.

Passionate about holistic healthcare and dedicated to creating a great patient experience.

Self-motivated, able to work independently, and committed to professionalism.

Availability

We’re ideally seeking someone to work 5 days per week (Monday – Friday 9:30am – 5:30pm).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.95 – $35.93 per hour
