Title: Accountant

Location: Stamford

Compensation: $+0,000 to $120,000 Base + Discretionary Bonus

5 Days on Site

Summary

An international trading firm is looking to add talent to their accounting team within the Stamford area. The team is looking for an individual contributor familiar with GAAP principles, experience in IFRS, technical accounting/audit, external audits, preparing consolidated financial statements, and preferably leading audits.

Responsibilities
• Assist with the annual statutory financial statements and reporting for GAAP
• Prepare financial statements of clients and subsidiary clients for distribution
• Oversee monthly/quarterly balance sheet analyses.
• Assist with audit and firmwide accounting
• Support the continual maintenance of the firms ledger
• Work with other lines of business to ensure tax/accounting/compliance matters are solved accordingly

Qualifications
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelors degree in accounting or similar field
• CPA Preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team player: an ability to work within a small group and under pressure
• Capacity to plan, organize and prioritize workflow
• Strong Excel Skillset
